Just onboarded my mom to @base and @coinbasewallet

she's been into crypto for a few years and has used cb as an exchange but  just got her smart wallet today

my plan was to just let her try to figure it out and then make notes about the process and make this post to offer some suggestions or tweaks to make the experience better

12 seconds later she's done and just goes "that's it?"

so uh...no notes - 10/10

Still stuck at the "get friends to stop thinking anything crypto is a scam" phase. Coinbase Wallet is the next step after that.

Yes. Onboarded my son. It was easier for me to use the app. I actually found the smartwallet didn't work for us. It's just me. I started with the app, so stuck with what works. Bought some $BRETT.

I onboarded a tradfi advisor in nz to cypto for his first time. 
I sent him 40usdc on coinbase using the send money link.

My requests for coinbase phone wallet:

simple swaps
usdc yields that beat inflation

Have deep functionality accessible, but hidden.

Both of my parents have been proud crypto holders since 2016 when I introduced them. They never understood why one would self custody and were always happy to just store on exchange until I recently used the famous ‘public bathroom’ analogy. Maybe mom understood, maybe she was just grossed out enough, but my very Italian mother was immediately convinced. We all use Coinbase wallet now.
