Probably the most promising application of DAOs I’ve seen is in biotech. The current status quo of drug development stifles collaboration - not as much progress when everyone is working on the same drugs apart. Biotech DAOs are disrupting this by encouraging collaboration and community development in an open-source model.

You know, that's what academia should have been. But if grants are given out by pharma, open cooperation takes a back seat
