One of the most interesting realizations I had is that in my industry, big customers are just as much work as small customers. But big customers generate 10x the returns. Focusing on bigger customers has been a huge change for us that has allowed to deliver better service to fewer people. The tough part about big customers is that they are a lot more relationship-based than smaller customers which are more price oriented.
