I’ll repeat this 1000 more times: consumer social apps in 2023 require a mobile-first experience. The last time desktop-first worked was in 2010.

one counter example I'd give to this. that is, by crypto standards, one of the most wholesome and consistent consumer social games the past number of months has been Basepaint. They didn't optimize for mobile until months after. the editor works best on desktop and they optimized around that.
