A few months ago I sharted in front of my girlfriend. It was totally unexpected. We've been dating long enough that she found it hilarious. 

She was convinced this only happens to me. Somewhat unprompted over the intervening months, several of my friends told us stories of them also sharting themselves -- at work, driving, etc
