last quote i got was around $400k think i have a hunch where proxy’s headed, and have a ton of respect for the instinct, but wouldn’t feel right taking that sum for such an idea the pop up was a trojan horse idea with absolutely no return planned much smaller amounts for newer ideas maybe could be explored but members would need to respect that generosity and come correct imo

ny space. cost to properly operate (event design, music, food, rental period, operations cost, etc) it was essentially going to be a fine art exhibition mixed w a mini festival needed the right building in ny which was the largest chunk of it

spitballing here: $10k - central park rental [size dependant] $25k - equipment rental + installations $15-20k - staffing = coordinators / curators / laborers $15-20k - artists / musicians $10k - insurance $15k - misc. shit that i don't know about i have no experience here but thats my 3 minute estimation $100k??

not even ribbing you. you’ve gotta at minimum 10x that rental price & you won’t be near central park it’s an idea that can be done in any metropolis if someone wants to run it tho. we wanted ny bc of farcon but too late for all that now
