one reason we don't have as much great music/art/cinema these days is that being a celebrity totally sucks ass. incentives dwindling toward zero.

consequences trending towards crucifixion. recently witnessed someone get berated for drinking starbucks cuz they’ve sent money to israel — looked into it, couldn’t find any information that confirmed that. actually just confirming the opposite

yeah being a celebrity used to mean maybe getting hounded by the press occasionally but now it's everybody, everywhere and its relentless. everything is a conspiracy, everyone is picked apart and chewed up. like i said, there's jsut so little incentive to do it, especially if you're the sensitive artist type, which is why we don't see those much anymore.

agreed. you become politicized for no reason, bizarre esp if you’re an artist. you’re right though, seeing less and less quiet folks with fame. only attracts the more bull headed types at this point.
