I’ll argue with anyone that 2003 was the best year ever for power/folk/prog metal releases. My two favorite power metal albums ever were released this year (Twilightning’s ‘Delirium Veil’ and Human Fortress’ ‘Defenders of the Crown’) as well as one of my favorite folk metal albums (Tyr’s ‘Eric the Red’). This may end up being something I come back and dissect further, because there’s probably 20(!) albums this year that I would put ahead of most year’s #1. But, all said, 2003 AotY goes to, IMO, the best power metal album ever released: Twilightning - Delirium Veil Check out the whole album here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLucyELPS68Y_-0v16NFqfQ-CAGK_fR4TN&si=3kWlIwXd_LF6ETkS
