Asking for a friend: why does everybody yell about consumer crypto but still invest in infra and L1, L2, and Lx?

When you are wrong in consumer it’s easier to look stupid to LPs. Very binary in terms of outcome and have to get a bunch wrong.

Easier to justify infra & other bets esp bc of historical returns. Even middling bets can be worth something there esp with token prices.
