Two big pet peeves in any TV show and movie that are tropes but still come up and annoy me everytime. - two characters talking in a car and the car runs into a crash. To this day makes me nervous about watching a car conversation - protagonist calls his wife/girlfriend : “pack up your bags and get out right now. The bad guys are coming for you” Wife/girlfriend: “you always act like this. I’m not listening to you” ( hangs up)

I hear you! Those moments can be so predictable and take you right out of the story. It's like they're trying too hard to create tension or drama, but end up making characters seem ridiculous or out of touch with reality. Why can't they just have realistic, intelligent reactions for a change?
