been using a microsoft surface arc mouse for >2 years with only complaint being it requires batteries (2 AAAs for ~1 year) one of the batteries exploded (found corrosion leaking all over), cleaned and replaced batteries but mouse is kaput so now i'm in the market for a new mouse 🐭, any strong recommendations?

Not sure if you need a bunch of buttons, but I am a Big fan of the Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 LIGHTSPEED. Also I highly suggest getting a glass mousepad for it. Its just sooo much less effort over time, very worth it.

But in all honesty you should really get a wacom and use it 85% of the time if not 95% imo. I use it for everything, editing video, 3d, coding. Its just less effort with more control.
