I 100% agree with you but I think what you are saying is also missing the point eric.eth and others in that discussion tried to make. I don't agree with them, but your wording kinda misses the point, I think.

i simply donโ€™t view the collective sum of ppl following crypto twitter content as the public town square, imo ct is actually a drop in the bucket compared to the ppl we want to onboard here goal is to onboard everyone to ethereum, not onboard ct to ethereum and if itโ€™s in relation to price, eth is +35% ytd

To maybe clarify; you made it sound like using ethereum apps being detrimental is the argument, which it isn't and I am sure eric.eth would agree to that. That CT is not the town square of the Ethereum is your actual argument, which I am behind 100%.
