I 100% agree with you but I think what you are saying is also missing the point eric.eth and others in that discussion tried to make. I don't agree with them, but your wording kinda misses the point, I think.

i simply don’t view the collective sum of ppl following crypto twitter content as the public town square, imo ct is actually a drop in the bucket compared to the ppl we want to onboard here goal is to onboard everyone to ethereum, not onboard ct to ethereum and if it’s in relation to price, eth is +35% ytd

See, I 100% agree with you. If this would have been your OP, I would have instantly just agreed. But I think the way you worded your OP kinda makes it miss the point, not sure if I am making sense :S

To maybe clarify; you made it sound like using ethereum apps being detrimental is the argument, which it isn't and I am sure eric.eth would agree to that. That CT is not the town square of the Ethereum is your actual argument, which I am behind 100%.

“a big detriment to Ethereum’s public narratives and to an extent, price as well.” if the comment was crypto twitter narratives, i agree but the comment was narratives as a whole, hence my point “the public” is not twitter lastly…. the comment on price i do not agree with in the slightest
