If I was CEO of Coinbase, here's 5 things I would do:

1. Immediately reorg/rename the Coinbase/CBW app teams into Base.
2. Reorientate transfers to say "receive" USDC instead "send" USDC.
3. Relaunch social payments as Base Pay.
4. Consumer protection as Base Secure.
5. Shift USDC rewards marketing to merchants.

2 will force all teams to focus on the top of funnel experience. How do you reach users? How could any token be accepted as USDC?

3 is a no-brainer. Make social payments fun like Warpcast has done. There's a feed now!

4, consumers are hesitant to even touch crypto without tax or some marketable txn safety rails.

5, merchants inject life into onchain economies. But we desperately need more of it. Alipay did this in China, generating immediate utility for consumers while building a powerful network effect within the app experience.
