preliminary and evolving thoughts on channel changes pros - better mod tools that match standard community management needs (hiding, banning, etc) - ability to send pinned announcements to channel followers/members (tho may get spammy if all channels use it all the time 😅) - reaching new people who are curious about my channels, overall fc activity increase cons - wish there was a one-click mass invite of channel followers to members (tools help but don’t seem to be getting to everyone) - actually *less* wanting to cast in channels for now bc of concerns about friends not being able to reply and be seen if they don’t happen to be members of the same channel - concerned that folks are losing visibility of their content if they didn’t re-enroll in channel membership. now I would advise all creators including myself to post enduring content on their own website and syndicate to here and other social platforms - home feed has gotten “weird” for now and I feel isolated from my friends

I'm interested to see what happens with personal channels, especially the smaller ones. It used to be like "facebook wall" and people can post, but this channel change might change it. I made no changes to /kbc expect adding a banner. For brand or topic channels, I've seen people add the channel invite into the url field, or pin a cast with the invite url. part of this change reminds me of when GDPR came into effect and all newsletter saw their member numbers drop, but click-rate go up.

👯 👯 👯 👯 👯 👯 👯 👯 btw enjoyed the last episode of ok banger. Not sure if it really was the last one. It came on on spotify why I was doing a mindless task of copying stuff. The one you talked about doing reps. Made me feel guilty for not publishing the video I did (well I have to redo it, as the sound wasn't recorded)
