The biggest problem with the Warpcast algorithm is that is “spam” means ANY reply with ZERO engagement (no like or reply back). This is very nuanced and difficult to navigate. It is too easy to be labeled as spammy and most users will need to change their behavior when you engage with people who don’t follow you. When you follow each other, the spam rules no longer apply because you are friends.

The other practical issue is that I use priority notifications (plain is too many notifs) which means I don’t get notified for replies to my casts from non-mutuals

So I am trying to make a habit of checking back my own casts and liking replies that are reasonably on topic / not obvious moxie baiting 

I wonder if other are not realizing that they are getting replies bc they are using priority notifs like me…

It’s actually so hurtful that we can’t speak freely on the app anymore at least not just to anybody, a lot of active users got the spam warning yesterday and it’s just sad 

Can’t even engage with cam right now out of the fear of not being labeled spam 😂😂
Cause I was told if you engage people that don’t follow you, you’re basically at risk of being put on the list

I hope more folks can see my cast and realize they are missing some people—many of us literally didn’t even know we were getting more replies than notified! I bet there’s a lot of unintentional inaction here.

The amount of engagement your cast gets is wayyy more than what your notification shows, some users don’t pop up at all 
It’s worrisome tbh, they’re also about to introduce gated channels
What are your thoughts on that ? 
I personally feel it’ll further reduce the amount of engagement people get
