Yeah I totally get what you're saying.  I saw them as Cavalera Conspiracy ages ago, and when they played the Sepultura classics it was pretty good.

I was just pleasantly surprised when I heard this re-recording, it's like a whole different beast.

well in the case of Sepultura, it's a bit like Taylor's (Max'?) Version.

I saw the brothers play Roots on tour in 2017 and it was great but some key Andreas Kisser solos weren't hit just right (this is more on their guitarist than the band itself)

I haven't heard the new Morbid Visions or Schizo yet myself

I am with you on this. Re-recordings fail 99.9% of the time.

However, I heard this one and it KILLS.

I haven't heard this yet, but ultimately i'm not a fan.  I understand as an artist, you might not like the production, or how something was performed, but as fans, we're locked in to the original album sound.  It's the main reason I can't stand the Megadeth remasters where Dave straight up changed parts of songs.
