Can't wait until block explorers realize they don't have to be indexers.

"Let's take the exact same raw data as everyone else and make it slightly faster than our closest competitor." Is speed really the #1 most important problem to solve for onchain data?

This week on /blockhead: • Improved layout of transaction view on Explorer • Added support for AI-powered transaction summaries and classification powered by @noves. To see them, switch “Transactions/Blocks” to “Noves” under Preferences.

Llms are definitely garbage for this. Add more than a single chain and beyond the 5-10 most popular protocols and you're screwed, can't filter a thing without first being able to categorize and label the onchain data.

What are the best solutions for a unified data protocol or API? Meaning: aggregating multiple data providers - Goldsky, The Graph, Alchemy, QuickNode, Covalent, etc. Specifically for redundancy, so if one provider fails to meet my pre-determined needs or if there's downtime or whatever, the other provider/s automatically kick in.

Contextualization sure, but also data that's reconcilable. Basically an entire extra step beyond just raw blockchain data. Because as it is now, every application has to do their own complex data enrichment before blockchain data can be used effectively. Debank and Zapper are good ones (just not reconcilable), Noves does this, and I know Tres Finance does this for accounting. Basically, all the current data providers should be focused on raising the quality of data now vs. soley focusing on speed.

In a space with soon-to-be 1000+ blockchains, this is going to be even more important.
