This chart shows total weekly casts for 14 Farcaster OGs, starting from February 2023. Notice how beginning in January 2024, these OGs began casting less frequently on a weekly basis. 

Guess what launched in January?

As the network grows and there’s more to consume, there’s more opportunity to be passive. I would imagine that in earlier days, you literally saw all casts and the only thing left to do was cast yourself.

I would assume that this shift in behaviour is not desirable for the protocol or Warpcast. I know I wouldn’t want to lose the momentum with the users that built the foundation of the culture

This is an astute take. I'm not saying there's not a there there, but context is everything. As thee sheer number of casts grows (due to users, accounts or whatever), there is simply going to be more noise. For people like me, that has probably come at the expense of my engagement. At least that's my hunch.
