web3 marketing is so interesting compared to web2 - you can see all wallet activity so you can be very targeted in your campaigns - new distribution channels are seemingly popping up on a regular basis

You can see wallet activity but how are you going to reach those people?

Totally agree This is partially why I buy into the ‘NFTs are the new cookies’ thesis

As more activity will happen on chain, users will probably want to hide it due to open exploitation. Same happen in web2 social medias which had very powerful APIs that got discounted (eg, FB SQL)

It is very interesting. But what I think is more significant than the tech and tactics is the (sub)community-first paradigm shift. Because that isn’t just limited to web3 early-adopters, it’s happening in all categories and segments.

100% it’s really exciting to think how we can redistribute value that’s generated by connecting the right product and people (ads) back to network contributors (creator/user/developer)

You are right but I still think the “targeted ad” approach is missing the big picture. We can do very good targeted advertising in web2 as well. IMO, the challenge is to re-engineer the mechanics. It could be with attention tokens for example.

Your competitor may have an advantage on the data generated by your own protocol, and that's savage

Agreed. Excited about new P2P cross chain communication protocols that allow for direct comms with users ie push protocol
