Fireworks!

I really think fireworks deserve a place. The chinese guy, but also, for example, the Sydney fireworks display on 1 January each year, that somehow is the image that kicks off the year for me.

Nothing to add. I think from our conversations other ideas that were mentioned were fireworks, burning man, and maybe fire itself (not sure on that one, vague)
