My fav is Sherlock Holmes and I enjoy most of detective shows as long as they are not unnecessarily violent.

what about Strike? Season 6 out now, really well made, it’s by Rowling.

While not a show, if you liked the BBC Sherlock show with Benedict Cumberbatch, try listening to Sherlock & Co. podcast. It’s really entertaining and has a similar, but more modern feel than the tv show.
