There's a concept called "WEIRD bias" in psychology and social science: we make broad claims about human behavior based on experiments conducted on Western, educated, industrialized, rich, democratic subjects. I think most developers are weird, too. In what ways is the average developer different from most users?

Most drvs are focused on tye solutions they are providing and not the problem. The average user is fixated on a problem, that's a pain point. In order to be successful, know the problem you are crafting that solutions for. Be obsessed with the problem and craft out a solutions. Don't do it the other way round, where you dish out a solution and hope it solves users problems.
