The only way I managed to get a badge was “cheating” by making an important PB friend outside of WC who could boost me here.
Joined /powermonday and BECAUSE people there actively avoided the built in suppression, made enough important follower connections to finally get a badge. 
But not everyone can do that.

Right now, most power badges just follow and talk to themselves so they don't lose their badges. We're completely ignored.
