these numbers may shock you but in case you were wondering how much it actually costs to run a professional podcast with consistent publishing per year: - indie tech podcasts (incl crypto): $100-500K/year - larger productions like radiolab or this american life: $3-5M "can't you just speak into a mic and start recording yourself? why is it so expensive?" have you considered the cost of: - production - editing - marketing and distribution - equipment - website and hosting - guest coordination - research and writing - onchain costs like gas larger podcasts have teams of 10-20 working on one podcast. to do all of this with a small team of 1-3 is multitudes more difficult than most people imagine same thing for various types of video creators as well or anyone who creates content consistently major respect to all my fellow content creators out there who stay grinding day after day, week after week, i see you and pls drop your links below so i can collect your work and show some support 🫡
