I'm away from home and am using a instapot to cook rice. It's turning Jasmine rice into sushi rice in texture. It's so sticky and really retaining shape. It's also a lot shinier. Has anyone else noticed this when cooking rice in pressure cooker vs rice cooker? Do you have a preference for the one you prefer?

probably because of too much moisture when using a pressure cooker this is the first time i heard someone used a pressure cooker to cook rice 😳 maybe try less water to reduce stickiness? I've always used rice cooker

I use a rice cooker typically and stovetop when not at home However, I'm house sitting for about 2 weeks and I eat rice almost everyday so I got a used instapot for this house. Goodwill didn't have a rice cooker 🤷‍♀️ I know others who swear by instapot for rice cooking; I have one but never used it until now for rice
