Dog owners - My vet recommended I bring my dog in for a cleaning, said she has mild decay and would benefit from it. Requires anesthesia. Curious what you do, if anything, for teeth cleaning.

I give my dog bully sticks and that helps with keeping her teeth clean (gnawing). I also use this toothpaste with a baby brush ~1x a week She had her teeth cleaned once and I did it cause her breath was bad; that has been her only time and she had it done at around 5. I'll likely do it again this year at age 10 ๐Ÿงต

Her recovery was easy; her teeth R relatively clean (no extractions, ~ 30 minutes of cleaning). The pic is after 5 years since the last cleaning. Once they are senior dogs they want to do more bloodwork etc because of putting them to under. It's also a big money maker for the vet too; happy to talk more in DCs
