My custom top + skirt is finally finished! 

- designed it myself with guidance from my tailor 
- visited 5-6 fabric stores and picked out this crushed silk and lace 
- put together an inspo board with the tailor 
- 3 fittings, the first 2 were muslin mockups and the last one for final measurements

I used to be into designer clothing, but this year I thought if I’m going to pay XYZ amount, I should get *exactly* what I want. 

I also wanted even slower fashion - designers are not always ethical either - so the process of having this made to fit me exactly was endearing and fun.

I learned a LOT from @lenagrundhoefer < she started working luxury brands first 
It blows my mind what a scam it is and how much they rely unethical labor

Yeah it sucks. This gave me better visibility into the process of making my clothes too so I felt better paying for it too!
