How do you answer the question βWhere are you from?β As an immigrant who lived in a few countries I find it quite confusing. I assume that the person wants to quickly understand my language/cultural background, so go with βIβm originally from β¦, lived in A, B, C and now I live in X.β

I just go by where I currently reside but as an American I've never resided outside of the US. Otherwise, I'd probably say the US.

Growing up as a biracial kid, kids were always asking where I was from; and as a local to my hometown I would always be annoyed AF π€π€¬they weren't satisfied my answer was my hometown then home state then the US.
