The USA is torn between under-feeling (callousness) and over-feeling (irrationality) Both are responses to the same root problem -- unresolved emotional trauma. Some handle it with avoidance, others with anxiety The pendulum will swing between the two until either the underlying issues are addressed or the country is depleted
