Live the same

I've already told a story about being threatened before a photo shoot, but it was just talk. Here's another one. A typical shoot on the beach in Macau, nothing out of the ordinary. The guy refused to have his photo taken and went somewhere while I was photographing his wife.

There was one leaning palm tree on the beach (which later got washed away by a storm), and everyone wanted to take a photo on it. So, I explain to her how to sit on it properly - it's not the most comfortable place. She can't do it, so I stand next to her, hold her hand so she doesn't fall, and then... bam! I get hit on the back of the head. Out of nowhere!

The blow wasn't that strong, but I turned around, ready to break whoever did it in half. Maybe it was the anger in my eyes, or maybe it was because the guy was much smaller than me... but he just started screaming hysterically that I was groping his wife. 😂

I wonder how quickly they got divorced... 😆

You know what sucks about working as a photographer in studios that focus on families, weddings, and couples? It's the monotony...

You can grow as a photographer, come up with new ideas, buy expensive gear for it—but no one cares. The bosses just want happy clients, and the clients? They say, “We saw this cool photo by that leaning palm tree, we want the exact same thing.” Yeah, that’s the most common request—“We want the same thing.”

And when you shoot that palm tree from every possible angle several times a day, it’s hard to come up with something new or exciting for yourself… But you go to that palm tree and do what the clients want. That’s the routine. And honestly, it’s the same in every similar studio, no matter where it is—I’ve checked. 😅

But still, it’s an interesting job! 😊

The good thing is that there are a lot of opportunities now and you can change jobs dramatically

This is the first time I've ever heard of a job being turned down because of age. Probably because I only consider remote work

Well, yes and no. On the one hand, yes, on the other hand, you run into problems. For example, I often get rejected for work because of my age... I'm 36 years old, and I'm already being rejected because of my age, and it's becoming more and more.
