The developers of the EigenLayer protocol plan to lift restrictions on EIGEN transfers starting September 30. Owners will be able to trade and transfer their tokens, including airdrop rewards.

Users will have seven days to unlock EIGEN from stakedrop.

The update follows the distribution of 86 million tokens during the second season of stakedrop. The distribution targeted active participants between March 15 and August 15, 2024.

Initially, tokens issued during the current and previous seasons were not transferable.

According to DeFi Llama, the project's TVL is $12.3 billion. In June, the metric exceeded $20 billion. The project is significantly ahead of competitors in the restocking sector.

Back in August, Ethereum's issuance volume exceeded 120 million ETH. This was facilitated by the growth of coins blocked in the stacking and restacking protocols.
