How is this still the top question for Eth Researchers? How many times do I need to post this @polynya post before people understand there's always been a plan to scale L1? The plan is simple: Stateless Clients scale L1 by 3-10x, and SNARKing Ethereum scales it by 10-100x or more polynya.mirror.xyz/epju72rsymfB-JK52_uYI7HuhJ-W_zM735NdP7alkAQ

I think we are over emphasising L2s, hence the question. Also there were quotes (probably out of context, I think from VB or JD) that „scaling L1 doesn’t matter down the road“ if the world needs millions of tx every day. I think that is floating around and likely confusing people.

We are talking about L2s, but not L1s. „There will be X L2 by the end of Y period.“ There’s L2beat et al, but USM is hardly referenced anymore (tbd if USM is a good meme or not). Apps are launching on L2s. Tokens as well. So i think at least in my bubble L2 have all the attention. Even with gas this low people don’t use L1, maybe extend their ENS, but that’s it. But my guess is those people that are in Ethereum And onchain today are similar.
