As a side note, picking up on your first sentence there, I much prefer the term “user controlled” to “decentralized”. That’s the sort of language we need to adopt to reach a broader audience.

New Framing: User Controlled

Who cares if a system is "decentralized" if the nodes/elites are well coordinated and in the same telegram channels. At that point changing the rules or state for everyone else is just as easy as it would be within a fully centralized organization

I personally like "control" better, we control the rules of the system but no one "owns" it, it's a public good

i wonder if the distinction between "controlled" and "owned" matters... food for thought for me!
