Has anyone looked into combining ERC 6551 and Farcaster Usernames?

Could be fun for your NFT to have a Farcaster account. Punks could actually post from their Punks

Farcaster usernames originally were going to be NFTs but opted for something simpler to save on registration gas costs

Ah ok thanks, nevermind that then. In that video it says usernames are governed by the namespace and could be claimed back. What's the namespace?

We're iterating on this (might be out of date cc @v) but we're moving to a hybrid namespace:

Farcaster names -- centralized, managed by core team, off-chain resolver for ENS

ENS -- decentralized, user-controlled

Users get to choose what username they want. Long term we would like to decentralized fnames, too

Thanks for the updates. I have a few final questions and then that’s it I promise lol. When you launch on the mainnet, is the fee for an fname still $10? Do these funds go to the protocol treasury or directly to your team? Is there an additional fee to use Warpcast?

Likely close to $5, to the protocol
