1/ We used to believe Ethereum could change the world. That it could be a better store of value than BTC. That it could secure the global financial system. That we’d invent new financial primitives, not just trade leverage.

crypto as a whole was railroaded by profit maximalism. I guess it was a slow roll, maybe it was always bound to happen idk but the energy that started the industry is still there. otherwise it wouldn't have reached into politics and world economic affairs I believe that Ethereum still has the greatest brains trust for this. but the competition is heating up also think the current state of destabilisation is a window of opportunity to break out further into the zeitgeist

Well there are 3 things 1. As you have said, AI is top of mind at the moment and you can't do anything about that. Hype has to come and go. 2. Online visibility is a real challenge for builders: between shadow bans, platforms and AI fueled shitposters and copy cats... While you are busy creating the value, they are busy either stealing the value or doing s*** that negatively impact your market. When people make posts to tell XRP will replace ETH, that's obvious bulls*** but as these people are influencers, their opinion is more visible and trusted by those who do not know how both techs work and how their tokeneconomic work. 3. Every time there is a rug, every time a project raises X millions to do nothing and get away with the money, it is money that is taken out of the ecosystem, growth and builders that are negatively impacted. Does that make sense or am I wrong? 🤔
