Narrowcasts

- Limit your casts to channel followers
- Cast in niche / esoteric channels without “annoying” your audience
- You can toggle between everyone and channel followers only
- The composer will remember if you previously narrowcasted in a channel

Great feature, thank you @dwr and team. I hope it gets traction and makes its way to the protocol.

I’ve been hoping to see channel mute for a long time, and I guess this is the conjugate — assuming people do narrowcast to niche channels, I won’t have to see their casts.

My feed has a lot of Tradle/Wordle content that I could care less about, for example. I guess we may need to politely remind people that this feature now exists.

I still would love to see channel (and keyword mute) later, as a “push-pull” mechanism to have full control over my feed.

It’s a great start, but I think we still need a “push-pull” mechanism where the user can also elect to mute not just channels but keywords as well. This was my earlier reply to Dan’s announcement:
