Despite kraken having the first movers advantage in the US how did coinbase become the biggest US exchange?

Imo, Coinbase just had the better UX!  I remember years ago Coinbase allowed ACH transfers and market orders while Kraken required bank wires and limit orders.

last time i used kraken in 2018, and it has the worst exchange design i've ever seen, like 2005 or so, totally unusable, btw binance was pretty good back then

Hot takes should be in /product too. I had always seen and perceived Kraken as European. That says something.

How did Facebook beat friendster or Google beat yahoo. Second mover is sometimes more advantageous.
