Can you please explain me the meaning and utility in minting a post on mirror? Sorry if I look dumb, but I really can't understand why should someone mint and pay for a blog post

You want to “collect” it. Same reason people collect Pokémon cards now they can collect blog posts they enjoy. 

From the authors stand point they also have the addresses of all their collectors so they can do with that what they choose. Whether its airdropping a thank you NFT or something more creative

Just because it’s fun to, sounds like your curiosity extends beyond collecting blogs to why do people collect anything. Why did people mint the first day on Base Nft or personally I was pumped to get @balajis.eth preorder Nft for the network state book, there was no utility to it

Maybe it's me but I really don't get the meaning of collecting a nft for no usage. It's ok, if you want to explicitly support someone’s work, but collecting a post, where you actually have to pay the minimum mirror fee, really can't get into my head.
