Agree that will likely happen with the internet. But social media could be like McDonalds arguing ppl will normalize to fast food because advances in agriculture generally stick. Or maybe I’m just getting old.

Since the printing press, every new communication technology goes through a cycle of "this is terrible!" and people normalize to it.
