For those interested in the project's on-chain governance, here’s an example of how software updates are applied to the Chancey smart contracts — all done through the Governance page of the app.

In this case, there was a limitation in the original smart contract related to emitting event logs when the jackpot is won. I recompiled the contract with the necessary changes and deployed it at https://sepolia.basescan.org/address/0xBfB414B5A5313ED9850a38432D06372FB0fc0E5F#code

This proposal suggests that the current function selector (0xe4fc6b6d, which handles distributing payouts) be repointed to the new instance. If successfully executed, the proxy contract will call the updated code going forward.
