I realized it’s not entirely clear how ownership/voting works, especially when using the dApp. I will be adding clarifications in the next update, but here’s the gist: voting power comes from the Chancey Points you earn when buying tickets. However, this voting power isn’t automatically assigned to the wallet holding those points. It needs to be explicitly delegated, either to your own wallet or to someone you trust. Delegation isn’t permanent. You can change it at any time. But without it, your votes carry zero weight, even if you hold a million Chancey Points. If you haven’t done so yet, please delegate your Chancey Points using the “Vote Delegation” option in the dApp.

This proposal needs 3.4M more votes to pass. 1 Chancey point equals 1 vote. If you've got your tickets at the beginning, you were getting 10240 Chancey points per ticket!

For those interested in the project's on-chain governance, here’s an example of how software updates are applied to the Chancey smart contracts — all done through the Governance page of the app. In this case, there was a limitation in the original smart contract related to emitting event logs when the jackpot is won. I recompiled the contract with the necessary changes and deployed it at https://sepolia.basescan.org/address/0xBfB414B5A5313ED9850a38432D06372FB0fc0E5F#code This proposal suggests that the current function selector (0xe4fc6b6d, which handles distributing payouts) be repointed to the new instance. If successfully executed, the proxy contract will call the updated code going forward. If you're interested to explore this part of the project, feel free to cast your vote. Made some progress today. You can now see the top ticket holders for a given draw! It’s not live yet though, I’m holding off until a few more tweaks are wrapped up before pushing the next update.

With all the excitement around the end of the test marathon and congratulating the winners, I totally forgot to share how the actual lottery went. Here are some details from Draw #24: A total of 12,262 tickets were sold. While the jackpot wasn’t hit, the draw still distributed 1.75 ETH worth of raffle prizes across 135 winners: 🟢 122 prizes worth 0.0024 ETH each 🟡 12 prizes worth 0.04 ETH each 🔴 1 prize worth 0.97 ETH Draw #25 is already underway, and a good number of tickets have been sold there too. I'm excited to see how it plays out. Worth noting that the game has now issued 173,207,040 Chancey Points in total!. The current reward per ticket has dropped from 10,240 to 2,560. The reward halves every time the game pool grows by 10 ETH, so if you're thinking about stacking Chancey Points, getting in early definitely pays off!

Huge congrats to @hankmoody for taking 1st place and winning 3 Hunt Town Mini Building NFTs in the Chancey testing campaign! Really appreciate how involved you were. You must have hit a lot of faucets to get these many tickets 😀 With this round now wrapped up, I’ll be making a few updates based on what I've learned.
