I think this is a red herring. There was a primary where Joe Biden was effectively the only candidate… how much choice did we have in that? None. Since then Biden underperformed in the debate. The people expressed their desire for him to step aside in poll after poll along with donors and party leaders. Biden eventually realized he is not in the position to continue to seek a new term and steeped aside for the good of the party and the nation. Harris, his VP, democratically elected to step in if needed… is doing just that. She has been endorsed by many democrats throughout the party… our representatives in this representative democracy. Our delegates, regional representatives of the interests of the people, will now do their duty to represent those interests and confirm a nominee at the convention. It’s not how we’ve done it since before the primary era (since 1972) but… it seems clear the will of Democratic voters is well represented here.

A) "We didn't have much choice in Biden's candidacy anyway" isn't the win you think it is. It's actually yet another proof of undemocratic practices in Dem party B) "Kamala, democratically elected as VP", is a very disingenuous statement. She was not elected, people vote for the president not VP. In fact she got ZERO delegates in 2020 primaries.

A) I don’t think leaning into the power of incumbency as proof of the Democrats being undemocratic is the win you think it is. It was seen as the best path forward for the ideas and ideals of the Democratic Party to advance…. Until it wasn’t. We all could sense that was no longer the case and and change was put into action. B) it was the Biden Harris ticket. She was part of of the team elected to represent us. She has now taken over to lead the ticket which has been overwhelmingly positively received. For the most part, the people complaining are the Republicans who now realize the they are in trouble or people much further to the left who are so dissatisfied that they want the whole thing to burn and would see a Trump win as potentially advantageous to that end.

Semantic reach instead of responding to the practice of "party elites taking power away from people" is exactly the kind of response I've grown accustomed to when speaking to blue MAGA. Almost no one on the left finds Trump beneficial (that's a typical lib projection, among those unfamiliar with value-based analysis) but yes the left wants all undemocratic systems that cause destructions & genocides around the world to burn down.

Come now friend... talk about semantic reach. Blue MAGA? Lol. And you yourself expressed the sentiment to me directly less than 2 weeks ago about the left not being sad when the Dems lose in a discussion about the danger of organizing for a 3rd party candidate contributing to a Trump victory. https://warpcast.com/chainleft/0xdefb9d92 Spare me... or better yet, I'll spare you 😉
