There’s a genuine collector type that scaled with NFTs: The kind of collector who has some money but isn’t rich, enjoys collecting art, but they’re more considerate when minting & buying. They want to ensure they can cash out if urgently needed. This is severely under-explored.

ideally NFT markets being more liquid and transparent should expand this by default, but it is also common for many pieces to depreciate over time as in trad art. What can be the solution? buyback guarantees like smoldollar or other explicit mechanisms? 🤔

IMHO buyback makes it even more speculative due to degen appeal. I think it's more about curated lists to appeal to the genuine collectors. I worked hard for this for Chaos Roads and I think it served the collection well. But scaling is hard.
