Every time I help onboard someone I'm constantly reminded of how there are way too many apps and steps to make sense of anything.

Coinbase, Metamask, ETH, Base Network, Bridging, CoinGecko, Zerion, Dexscreener, Uniswap, Warpcast.

This need to be as simple as downloading one app.

So much work still left to do.

set up a coinbase wallet and funded it with base eth the other day

just that was actually super *not* smooth of an experience.

My favorite part is how Coinbase shows you tokens and says "only available on Coinbase Wallet" and then expects people to understand a non-custodial wallet and that they need to send ETH to Base to use it to buy the token they were presented.

Also that Coinbase Wallet is different from your wallet on Coinbase.
