not really the case here but when done properly this is known as an “infinite baffle” speaker design which places driver(s) in a very large sealed wall, effectively using it as a huge front baffle. this completely separates the front and rear waves of the driver to prevent phase cancellation, esp. in low frequencies. sort of a weirdo third type of speaker enclosure aside from the usual suspects (sealed and ported).
