I love what @chaim.eth is doing with acid, beautiful app and seamless UX. But I don’t think it has to always be one or the other like that… We are trying to harness a little speculation in the name of patronage over at @betrmint for example, and having similar success (1 ETH raised for our featured creators in a week.) Lots of available formulas and onchain creators should be prepared to try a combination of approaches imo.

I have always loved @jesse's idea of "Patronage+". And I do think the "+" is doing quite a bit of work there, not just tossed in as an after thought. The feeling I get from collecting something I like is about 50/50 split bw feels good to support the thing and this thing might matter more in the future. I take @jihad's point to be that: coins only rly give u the feeling of speculation, nft's can carry both. at least this seems to be the case rn, could change.
