I keep cooked ground turkey at the ready and add it into meals wherever feasible. That and bison both have a great amount of protein per unit volume.

The one issue with bison for me is the amount of water it let's off while cooking. Makes it less convenient for me than good ground turkey, but maybe it's just the specific grind / brand that I have access to. Have you found this to be the case as well?

yes I have - turkey, where i am, is no different. So for me - it’s just part of the process so to speak.
