Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024: In the wee hours of New Year's Eve, SpaceX launched its final mission of 2024 to send 21 Starlink satellites into orbit from Pad 39A of NASA's Kennedy Space Center. This image of a SpaceX Starlink launch streak was actually taken a a few days earlier on Dec. 29 as SpaceX launched 22 Starlink satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. In between the two launches, SpaceX also launched four satellites for the communications company Astranis, wrapping up a hat trick of launches to close out the year. In all, SpaceX launched 134 Falcon rockets in 2024, shattering its previous record by more than a dozen. -- Tariq Malik
