Anyone else starting to get worried about this rise of casual open imperialism? Like, not "peaceful trade at prices social justice activists don't like" imperialism but actual "let's go conquer stuff" imperialism. I know it's "meant to be a joke", but often such jokes are a first step to normalizing something dark...

It was always there, it’s just that it was never “causal”, it was hidden by layers of hypocrisy before. Black was called white and vice versa. I don’t know how to feel about it, all I can say is, now the trend is to have cards on the table. Don’t know if its for the better or worse.
